GEFO 7000 DWT Tanker is launched

The first of two 7000 DWT stainless steel chemical tankers built by Yangzhou Jinling Shipyard for German owner GEFO smoothly launched on 2 July.

These vessels are made GAS Ready to easier meet future fuel possibilities.
Vessel no. 2 though, that is under construction at yard, has already be converted in the design stage and will have LNG propulsion at delivery.

FKAB have been involved from the early concept stage, and through our offices both in Sweden and China in the Basic Design & Detail Design.

This state-of-the-art FKAB design is based on GEFO’s high quality requirements with a focus of long-term operation, high flexibility, and very low fuel consumption based on the experience of FKAB, with proven modern F-Bow design, over the past years.
