Furetank order vessels number 14 & 15 in the Vinga series

Furetank order two more vessels in the Vinga series of climate friendly tankers and  there are now 15 sister trading/under construction.
For the time being 7 sister vessels are ordered/under construction at China Merchants Jinling Shipyard, 4 vessels for the J/V between Furetank and Algoma, 1 vessel for Thun tankers and now the 2 latest added vessels for Furetank.

This FKAB design is an ice class 1A environmental friendly tanker, equipped with batteries and dual fuel engines for LNG/LBG operation and equipped with 6,6 kV high voltage shore power.
It is of 16,300 DWT on design draught & 18,000 DWT on scantling draught.

This vessel concept is named FKAB T24C1 and was developed by FKAB together with the owner Furetank.
Through our FKAB offices in Sweden & China, we also delivered Basic Design & Detail Design to the shipyard.
