FKAB Marine Design & The Mattsson Group turns 60 years

In August 1961, 60 years from now, FKAB Marine Design was founded and that was also the start of the Mattsson Group. Today we celebrate with birthday cake together with our colleagues on all our locations. Pictures are from the coffee break in Uddevalla using our beautiful coutyard bathing in late summer sunshine.

FKAB is serving shipyards and shipowners all over the world.
From the start most of the services was for the yard in Uddevalla and at the moment we are cooperating with yards and owners from Canada, Europe, UAE & Asia, and we plan to continue delivering great innovative designs with high environmental friendlyness on the agenda for at least another 60 years.
A great Thanks to all our clients through the years so far and a big warm welcome also to all new clients to come.

The Mattsson Group today consist of several comapnies divided into four different business areas.
Marine Design, represented by FKAB located in Uddevalla, Gothenburg & Shanghai and METS Technology located in Uddevalla & Stockholm.
Mechanics, represented by UFAB located in Uddevalla & Shanghai.
Coating and Sizing machines for Paper and Board Industry, represented by UMV Coating systems located in Säffle.
Real Estate, represented by Mattsson fastigheter located in Uddevalla.
