Sirius Coralius
The LNG is stored in two insulated cargo tanks of bilobe type, classified by IMO as ”Independent Type C”. Torispherical heads and a design pressure of 4.5 barg are considered. Each tank is equipped by two submerged deep well pumps for easy discharging. The discharge capacity is 4 x 250 m3/h.
The FKAB L8 main fuel is boil-off gas and regasified LNG from the cargo tanks. This will reduce fuel cost when operating the vessel. L8 is also designed to be as energy efficient as possible with amongst other a slender hull, frequency controlled pumps and fans and further a heat recovery system. These measures reduce costs further but will also reduce the environmental footprint of the vessel.
To maintain flexibility and for emergency use the machinery is of dual fuel type and the vessel has capacity to carry MGO as fuel also.
Saga LNG Shipping Pte Ltd. LNG LNT 45
The Contract Design has been performed by LNG New Technology and the project has been evaluated by FKAB Marine Design. FKAB is also performing an extended Basic Design package including lines. The design is based on the LNT A-Box containment system, which is patented. The tank configuration gives an excellent volume utilization and allows providing an efficient hull.
The propulsion system features one dual fuel main engine, mechanical connected to a single shaft propeller. The auxiliaries are be able to burn natural gas.

FKAB L5
The FKAB L5 can carry both liquefied natural gas and light marine oils and deliver the products at highest possible safety standards. The bunker tanker can both deliver and run on environmental friendly energy. The L5 bunker tanker complies with the coming IMO regulations on both SOX (2015) and NOX (2016) emissions for ECA areas.
High capacity cargo pumps and uncomplicated distribution system ensures fast and effortless bunker operations. Flow meter on both cargo systems guarantees accurate deliveries.
Safety has top priority, therefore the L5 is equipped with redundant propulsion machinery consisting of two azimuth thrusters and a water jet bow thruster, which can be used for assisted propulsion. This set up assures good and safe manoeuvrability at all draughts, at all times.
FKAB L2
They have spherical heads and a design pressure of 4.1 barg. Each tank is equipped by two submerged deep well pumps for easy discharging. The discharge capacity is 6 x 300 m3/h.
The FKAB L2 main fuel is boil-off gas and regasified LNG from the cargo tanks. This will reduce fuel cost when operating the vessel. Despite this the L2 is designed to be as energy efficient as possible with amongst other a slender hull and a heat recovery system. These measures reduce costs further but will also reduce the environmental footprint of the vessel. To maintain flexibility and for emergency use the machinery is of dual fuel type and the vessel has capacity to carry MGO as fuel also.
FKAB L1
The FKAB L1 both delivers and runs on environmental friendly energy. With pure LNG propulsion the FKAB L1 is one of the most environmentally friendly tankers on the world seas. The FKAB L1 bunker tanker complies with the coming IMO regulations on both SOX (2015) and NOX (2016) emissions for ECA areas.

12.500m3 Ammonia gas carrier
The hull is an F-bow design and is built for a low energy consumption. The vessel is divided into two cylindrical type C cargo tanks. The cargo tanks are designed for a temperature of –48°C with a density of 682 kg/m3
The propulsion system consists of two medium speed four stroke dual fuel engines each coupled to a controllable pitch propeller and a shaft generator for the vessel’s electric power supply. The main fuel for the main engine is ammonia with MDO/MGO as pilot fuel or pure MDO/MGO. The switchover between the fuels is without any time limitation. All engines comply with the IMO emission regulation, tier III with SCR. The vessel has a low fuel consumption of 18.7 tonnes/24h at a service speed of 15.0 knots at 85% MCR.

The hull is built with double sides and double bottom, which are used as ballast tanks. The mooring equipment is arranged to work with automated mooring systems. The vessel has 4 independent prismatic A-type tank blocks each divided into two tanks. The cargo tanks are designed for a temperature of -48°C with a density of 690 kg/m3. The vessel is arranged to bow loading, with a loading capacity of 8000 tonnes/hour.
The propulsion system consists of two 2-stoke low speed dual fuel engines driving two propellers and four dual fuel auxiliary engine generator sets for the vessel’s power supply. The main fuel for the main engine is MDO, but the vessel is prepared for a conversion to ammonia. The vessel has a service speed of 20.0 knots at 85% MCR. The range of the ship at service speed is about 22.000nm.

FKAB/IMS L7
The FKAB/IMS L7 is a tailor made Multi Gas Carrier for transportation of LPG/LEG/LNG for particular trades, with optimized cargo volume by using three very well insulated bilobe tanks, classified by IMO as “Independent tank type C” .Each tank is equipped with two submerged deep well pumps. The cargo system is designed for two segregations in any combination of cargo tanks and connected to one deck tank for changing of cargo grades.
The main fuel is LNG, from storage tanks or from LNG boil-off .The main engine and auxiliaries can also run on HFO or MDO. The FKAB/IMS L7 is designed for low fuel consumption with among others a slender well balanced hull, large propeller and smart energy use. Shaft generator for variable RPM for the best combination of pitch and propeller revolution at each speed and draught.
The FKAB/IMS L7 is designed for good maneuvering through a high lift rudder and bow thruster and “take me home” proplusion through PTI, which also can be used boosting the speed. Heat recovery systems are installed where commercial feasible.
If the total length has to be limited to 160 m or even more, the fuel consumption will increase with 1 % for every meter reduction down to 160 m and even more if the length has to be reduced below 160 m.
FKAB L4
FKAB L4 is an ocean going, single screw, diesel engine driven, type 2G, fully refrigerated gas carrier, independent tank of type A, suitable to carry liquid cargoes with a minimum temperature of -48°C, with bulbous bow, transom stern and semi-balanced rudder.
The propulsion system consists of one low speed diesel engine and a fixed pitch propeller.
The cargo section consists of three (3) cargo holds each containing one (1) independent self-supporting prismatic cargo tank.
