FKAB Designed MR Tanker Delivered 

A big congratulations for the successful delivery of Weco Memphis Elle and Weco Senne, the first 2 of a series of MR tankers ordered jointly by Hartree Partners, Weco Tankers and Oceangold Tankers, at Penglai Zhongbai Jinglu Shipyard.
The 49800 DWT MR is designed in full compliance with IMO type 2 Chemical Tanker, with 20 MarineLINE coated cargo tanks and each tank capacity below 3000 m3, total cargo volume 54000 m3, 14 piping segregations.
A number of energy efficient/green solutions have been implemented into the design, including extensive methanol fuel ready, shaft generator, pre-swirl duct and twisted leading edge rudder etc. Same as other FKAB designs, great attention have also been paid by all parties involved for efficient handling and convenient maintenance of the vessel. Owners and crews are very satisfied with the final result.
Even though it is a brand new and first MR design by FKAB, but by careful planning and hardworking, Jinglu shipyard managed to deliver both vessels significantly ahead of contractual date, vessel No.1 was delivered 3 months ahead of schedule and vessel No.2 6 months ahead of schedule, another huge achievement and great benefit for owners!
