Dry cargo

Tropical shipping Tropic Carib

973 TEU Container vessel

Tropic Carib is designed for container feeder services in tropical waters with main focus on the Caribbean’s. To meet the relatively high speed requirements she has a slender hull and powerful propulsion. Since there are several less developed ports in the trading area, her manoeuvrability capabilities are excellent.
To be able to handle a lot of foodstuff etc the refer capacity is high, especially below deck.

Transatlantic Nordön & Sandön

16 600 DWT Box type general cargo vessel

Nordön & Sandön design is a box type bulk carrier designed for heavy cargo, grain and grab handling with three cargo holds, for world wide services and especially in Nordic waters.
The cargo area is protected with double bottom underneath and wing tanks at sides and top of holds are covered with hatch covers. The holds are divided by a double transverse bulkhead but the holds are smooth and clean from inside structure.
The propulsion system consists of one slowspeed diesel engine coupled to a controllable pitch propeller driven. The vessel is classified for ice-class 1A super.

TransMed Shipping Katerina

Flexibility and safety has been the key word during the design of the Katrina.

The double sides improve safety at sea but also in port since there is no structure in the holds where the cargo can get stuck. This also reduces the turnaround time in port.
The hull and the holds are strengthened to make it possible to handle heavy cargo but also to handle cargo with different density and character in different holds. Katrina is designed with forecastle and with strengthened hatch coamings on all cargo hatches.

FKAB Ultramax

A state-of-the-art design focusing on *Cost optimization* Fuel Economy*Environmental issues for both people & vessel

This vessel will be compliant with future environmental regulations and also apply innovative eco-technology for your next generation of ‘Green’ bulk ships
FKAB’s new Ultramax design allows the transport of more cargo with less draft compared to other Ultramax designs on the market. The vessel is reinforced for the increase in cargo holding ability. There is operational flexibility since cargo holds 2 & 4 may be empty. Finally, the four cargo cranes each have a 30 tonne grab.

  • Reduced the light ship weight up to 25 %
  • Decrease the fuel consumption by optimizing relationship between beam and length, savings can be achieved up to 10%.
  • Waste heat recovery: R.O.I 2-5 years
  • Flow control system, fresh water : R.O.I 1-3 years
  • Battery bank reducing peak loads and black outs: R.O.I 1-2 years
  • Auxiliary engine can be replaced by a battery bank of about 300-500 kWh or the running hours can be reduced with 2/3.
  • Enthalpy wheel: R.O.I 2,5 years
  • Including noise and vibration analyses in all projects.
  • Propeller duct and rudder bulb can be considered.
  • Maximizing cargo volume.
  • Tailor made makers list to optimize Capex and Opex.

All data and main particulars

FKAB B12

The FKAB B12 Design sets a new standard in the midsize caper ship segment.

She combines high carrying capacity with main particulars adapted to most ports in Europe, India and South America. The design fully complies with the new CSR-rules and all aspects of environmental concern have been taken into account, such as ballast water treatment, coating, low sulphur bunker, etc. She is able to carry different kinds of bulk cargo such as grain, ore or coal.

Donsötank Credo

Credo design is a box type open hatch general cargo carrier design with gears.

Credo has Swedish-Finnish Ice class 1A SUPER and is designed with special consideration for easy maintenance, e.g. whale forecastle, double plated coaming etc.

The low resistance hull and the flex engine provide low fuel consumption at all speeds.
The cranes, mounted on port side, allow easy access to holds with no cargo hold overhang at all. It also allows quick handling of hatches which reduces port time.

ESL Alppila

Alppila is a general cargo carrier designed for carrying all type of general cargoes as well as pure bulk cargos. The vessel is arranged with three cargo holds and designed for worldwide service.

Furthermore the vessel complies with St Lawrence Regulations.
The cargo area is protected with double bottom underneath and wing tanks at sides. Top of the holds is covered with foldable hatch covers.
The propulsion system consists of one low speed diesel engine (HFO/MDO) directly connected to a controllable pitch propeller. An electrically driven bow thruster takes its power from existing diesel generators/shaft generators.
