Stainless steel
FKAB T41
The FKAB T41 is a 6000DWT tanker, double hull TIER III stainless steel for chemical and oil products (IMO type II and III). It is designed for trading in SECA area with low fuel consumption, low emissions and high cargo capacity.
The vessel has diesel electrical propulsion consisting of 3 x 1250kW gen sets LNG/ duel fuel engines with 2 x1400ekW electrical motor, and twin skeg/twin screws for low fuel oil consumption and high redundancy. Design speed is 13,0 knots at 90% SMCR (in calm sea, deep sea), crusing range 6000 on LNG.
All engines and gen sets fulfill Tier III requirement and are driven by LNG with cruisng range of 6000nm. The vessel is divided into 12 cargo tanks with 12 cargo pumps with each capacity of 200m3/h. Cargo capacity with density of 1,54ton/m3 and 1,85ton/m3 when partly filled. two cargo tanks are dedicated for slop tanks in accordance with the rules. The tanks are stainless steel in ferritic-austenitic steel type, type 2205.
For good maneuvering there are two high lift flap rudders. with twin FPP propellers (Kappel or equivalent)
FKAB T36C GEFO
The hull is optimized to acheive maximum cargo intake, for low fuel consumption and designed for excellent performance in calm/ harsh weather conditions.
The vessel is divided into 14 cargo tanks, 2 drain tanks on deck, consisting of 14 cargo
segrigations.
Cargo denisty 1,84 ton/m3 and 2,20 ton/m3 when partly filled.
All tanks built in Duplex stainless steel 2205.
Each cargo tank fitted with individual deep well cargo pump.
The propulsion system consits of one four stroke medium speed diesel engine directly coupled via a gear to the controllable pitch propeller.
Main engine and auxiiary engines are connected to SCR NOx cleaning for TIER III. SOx compliance regulation is acheived by
use of LSFO or MGO fuel.
The ship is designed for Finnish/Swedish ice class, ICE 1A.
FKAB T32 Utkilen
It is designed with high standard European accommodation and high-quality equipment and high cargo capacity with a density of 1,85 ton/m3 and partial filling of
2,0 ton/m3 with a maximum temperature of 80°C and 0,6 ton/m3 overpressures.
The vessel is designed for very low fuel consumption at eco speed of 12,5 knots at 55% MCR with 15% sea margin, at design draught and an output from the shaft generator of 300 kW. The vessels are dual fuel ready for both gas & methanol.
FKAB T37
This FKAB design is 16,000 m3 with 14,000 DWT, and is a TIER III tanker for chemicals (IMO II and III). The hull form is optimized for low fuel consumption and designed for excellent performance in harsh weather conditions and can operate in Sulphur Emission Control Areas (SECA). The propeller is integrated to rudder to gain hydrodynamic efficiency. A shaft generator is installed with a frequency converter to save fuel costs in normal sea going conditions. There is a catwalk above the main deck. The vessel is divided into 20 cargo tanks, 2 drain tanks on deck, consisting of 20 cargo segregations. Cargo capacity with a density of 1,54 ton/m3 and 1,85 ton/m3 when partly filled. Two cargo tanks are dedicated for slop tanks in accordance with the rules. The tanks are stainless steel in ferritic-austenitic steel, type 2205 with a molybdenum content of min 2.70%.
The vessels primary fuel is LNG (MDO if required) and compliant with IMO SOx Tier III NOx emission limits. Manning is based on a crew number of 18 people in single cabins. The propulsion system consists of one two stroke slow speed diesel engine directly coupled to the controllable pitch propeller. Main engine and Auxiliary engines will use box cooling systems. “Take me home” is handled via a hydraulic motor coupled via shaft generator in PTI mode. The shaft generator is connected via a frequency converter allowing optimum propeller rpm at various speeds.
FKAB T38
This FKAB design is 28,000 m3 with 25,000 DWT, and is a TIER III tanker for chemicals (IMO II and III). The hull form is optimized for low fuel consumption and designed for excellent performance in harsh weather conditions and can operate in Sulphur Emission Control Areas (SECA). A shaft generator is installed with a frequency converter to save fuel costs in normal sea going conditions. There is a pipe trunk above the main deck were all cables and pipes located inside to ensure low maintenance cost. The vessel is divided into 14 cargo tanks, 2 cargo tanks dedicated as slop tanks , consisting of 14 cargo segregations.
