It is with great pleasure and proudness we can announce that Fure Vinga, designed by FKAB in close cooperation with the owner Furetank Rederi AB, was delivered on Tuesday 19 January from the yard China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Yangzhou) Dingheng Co Ltd.
Fure Vinga has dual fuel propulsion and will run on LNG & LBG.
A clear vision to build very environmental friendly tankers has been the target from day one.
With everything from great hull lines with the FKAB F-Bow to a set-up of equipment onboard, where a propeller duct is chosen to lower the requested engine power with propeller thrust to fulfill Ice class 1A, the possibility to use the main engine running on LNG or LBG as an auxillary engine when dischgarging, a UPS battery pack for preventing black outs that makes it possible to run all neccesary electrical equipment for an hour if there would be a power failure and also equipped for performing full cargo discharge with electricity from shore.
This has resulted in a very energy efficient vessel that obtained the low EEDI value of 4.64, verified by Bureau Veritas at sea trial.
This value shall be compared with the EEDI Phase I requirement of 9.32 for this vessel and is also much lower than EEDI Phase III demand (2025) of 7.54
Fure Vinga will load cargo and start her voyage home to European waters to join her sister vessel in the Gothia Tanker Alliance fleet, and we wish her a safe journey.
