FKAB designs 80-vehicle Road Ferry

FKAB is appointed to make the design of the ferry in cooperation with the shipyard.

The ferry will have a length of 99.7m and a width of 18.2 m. The ferry shall be designed for operation in area E with a capacity of 297 passengers and a total deck load of min 600 tonnes in all loading conditions.

The design scope includes:

  • Hull structure drawings
  • Arrangements drawings
  • Outfitting drawings
  • 3D model and production drawings for hull and deckhouses
  • Strength, weight and stability calculations
