This design is a 50.000m3 liquified ammonia gas carrier type 2G. The vessel is designed for a worldwide operation with 5 years docking intervals.
The hull form is an F-bow design and is optimized for low energy consumption. The vessel has 3 prismatic A-type cargo tank blocks each divided into two tanks. The cargo tanks are designed for a temperature of -35°C with a density of 695 kg/m3.
The propulsion system consists of one slow speed dual fuel two stroke engine and one shaft generator and four medium speed diesel engines for the vessel’s electric power supply. The main fuel for the main engine is ammonia with MDO/MGO as pilot fuel or pure MDO/MGO. The switchover between the fuels is without any time limitation. The main engine complies with the IMO emission regulations, tier III with SCR. The vessel has a service speed of 16.0 knots at 85% MCR.
