Award Winner! Concept Vessel Design of the Year

The FKAB E1 design, An e-bunker vessel made for SeaFjord Energy, has won the Concept Vessel Design of the Year!
Today, Tuesday 24 June, During the Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo 2025 in Amsterdam the innovative e-bunker design made for and i close collaboration with SeaFjord Energy won the award Concept Vessel of the Year.
Together with SeaFjord Energy, Bureau Veritas & ABB this concept with a battery energy storage of more than 60 MWh installed onboard and ready to deliver 50 MWh electric power to ships where shore power is not available or not sufficient or Fjord Zero can act as a backup resource and provide power to onshore or offshore locations in emergency or crisis situations.
Ships can charge green electricity and operate emission free in and out of ports.
