Founded in 1961 in Uddevalla, Sweden, FKAB initially provided production drawings for local shipyards. Over the decades, the company expanded globally, forming partnerships and opening offices in Europe, the UAE, and the US. Despite challenges during the downturn in the shipping industry, FKAB rebounded in the 1990s with key milestones, including collaborations with the Chinese shipbuilding industry. Today, FKAB Marine Design operates worldwide, combining Swedish innovation and expertise with global collaboration to shape the future of maritime design.
