18 000 m3 Bitumen Tanker for Rubis Group Delivered

The FKAB I19, Bitu Ocean, is an Asphalt Carrier of 18 000 m3, built by China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Yangzhou) Dingheng Co. Ltd for Rubis Group is delivered.

The vessel has twelve integral cargo tanks, each fitted with 100 mm internal insulation to ensure reliable temperature control throughout the voyage.
Cargo handling is managed by two electric pumps with variable frequency drives, providing both flexibility and energy efficiency.
The propulsion system features a high-efficiency fixed pitch propeller driven by a 2-stroke diesel main engine with a shaft generator.
Both the main and auxiliary engines can comply with IMO NOx Tier III requirements by SCR technology.
For excellent manoeuvrability in port and restricted waters, the vessel is fitted with a bow thruster and a flap rudder.
Future-proofing has also been taken into account, with reserved space for the installation of a CO2 capture unit, ensuring readiness for upcoming environmental requirements.
